VEHICLE CLEANING AND CARE
To decrease the risk of severe injury or vehicle damage, read and understand all instructions sup-
plied by manufacturer of pressure washer.
When using a pressure washer on the outside of the vehicle, do not use more than 700 psi of pressure and
keep a 12 inch minimum distance from the spray nozzle to the painted surface. To decrease possible surface
damage, do not use any abrasive or reactive solvents to clean plastic parts.
It is important that correct procedures and cleaning materials be used. Using excessive water pressure can cause severe
injury to operator or bystanders, damage to seals, plastic materials, seat material, body finish or electrical system. Do not
use pressure in excess of 700 psi to wash exterior of vehicle.
Clean windshield with lots of water and a clean cloth. Small scratches can be removed using a commercial plastic polish.
Normal cleaning of vinyl seats and plastic or rubber trim requires the use of a mild soap solution applied with a sponge or
soft brush. Clean with a moist cloth.
Removal of oil, tar, asphalt, etc. will require the use of a commercially available vinyl/rubber cleaner.
The painted surfaces of the vehicle provide an attractive appearance and durable protection. Frequent washing with
warm or cold water and mild detergent is needed to preserve the painted surfaces.
Occasional cleaning and waxing with non-abrasive products designed for ‘clear coat’ automotive finishes will enhance
the appearance and durability of the painted surfaces. Do not wax surfaces that are painted with flat paint or are camou-
flage covered.
Corrosive materials used as fertilizers or for dust control can collect on the under-body of the vehicle. These materials
will cause corrosion of under-body parts unless flushed occasionally with water. Thoroughly clean any areas where mud
or other debris can collect. Sediment packed in closed areas must be loosened to ease it’s removal, taking care not to
chip or damage paint.
TRANSPORTING THE VEHICLE
Make sure the vehicle and all items are secure before transporting a vehicle.
Never ride on the vehicle being transported.
Always remove the windshield (if equipped) before transporting.
If the vehicle is to be transported at highway speeds, the windshield must be removed and the seat bottom secured.
When transporting vehicle at highway speeds, check for tightness of hardware and cracks in sun top at mounting points.
The rated capacity of the trailer or truck must exceed the weight of the vehicle (see GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for
vehicle weight) and load plus 1000 lbs. (454 kg).
Secure the vehicle using ratchet tie downs.
