7. CLEANING AND STORAGE
• This appliance may be left on the kitchen counter top. Unplug it
when it is not in use.
• The blades and the discs must be stored out of the reach of
children.
• All parts of the appliance, except the motor housing base and
the whisk power unit, may be washed in the dishwasher. It is
recommended that you rinse the work bowl, lid, pushers, blades,
discs and whisks immediately after use to avoid food drying on
these.
• Use extreme caution when washing the blades and discs by
hand. Don’t leave them in soapy water. Always handle with great
care.
• The work bowl may not be used in microwave ovens, because
the pusher locking mechanism is metal.
• To clean the housing base of the appliance, use a sponge
dampened with soft detergent. Do not use abrasive products.
• Remove the whisks from the whisk assembly to clean them. The
power unit of the whisk assembly may not be immersed in water
or any other liquid. Clean with a damp sponge or cloth and dry
immediately.
• Before storing the whisk assembly, make sure all the pieces
are perfectly clean and that there is no trace of oil or grease on
them.
8. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Like any electrical home appliance, this professional food processor
must be handled with care. Follow these safety precautions to
avoid any personal injury.
CAUtIon:
The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance
or the packaging may be dangerous. To avoid risk of suffocation,
keep these bags out of the reach of babies and children. These
bags are not toys.
• Always put the blade in place before adding ingredients.
• Never place the blade or the disc on the motor shaft before the
bowl is locked in position.
• Before turning the appliance on, make sure the blade or the
disc is pressed onto the motor shaft as far as it will go, and
that the lid is properly placed. Never force or block the lid
mechanism.
• Only use the spatula when the motor has stopped. Avoid all
contact with moving parts.
• Always use the pusher to grate or slice food. Never push food in
with your fingers or use other utensils.
• Always wait until the blade or the disc has stopped moving
before removing the pushers or the lid.
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning it or attaching or
removing accessories.
• Remove the bowl from the base before taking the blade out.
• Only use this appliance with accessories provided or sold by
Cuisinart®.
• Never immerse the housing base in water or any other liquid.
• Unplug the appliance after each use, before assembling or
dismantling, before removing food and before cleaning. Never
leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. To unplug,
pull on the plug never on the lead.
• Do not let the lead hang over the kitchen table or worktop, and
keep it away from hot surfaces.
• Never leave the blade on the motor shaft when the appliance
is not in use. Store the blades and discs out of the reach of
children.
• If the lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its after-sales service or similarly qualified professionals to avoid
danger.
• This appliance should not be used by adults or children who
have reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or by
persons who lack experience or who do not know the appliance,
unless they are adequately supervised or they have been given
