3. USE
A. INSTALLING THE WINE CELLAR
1. Before using the Cuisinart® wine cellar for
the fi rst time, wipe the housing and internal
chamber with a damp cloth.
2. Read the «Cleaning and storage» section for
more information.
3. Place the wine cellar on an even and level
surface, solid enough to support the weight of
the unit when it is full.
4. Allow at least 15 cm on both sides and at the
rear of the unit for proper ventilation. This unit
is not designed to be fully recessed in another
piece of furniture.
5. The unit operates most effi ciently with an
ambient temperature of less than 21°C.
6. Read the «Safety precautions» section for
more information.
B. USE OF THE APPLIANCE
IMPORTANT!
When using the wine cellar for the
fi rst time, wait at least 24 hours for the internal
temperature to adjust properly. Make sure there
are at least 3 bottles in the wine cellar.
C. TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Important:
to operate properly, thermoelectric
appliances should be in an environment where
the ambient temperature is less than 21°C. The
minimum temperature of the unit is 7ºC
and its maximum temperature is 20ºC.
Using Celsius or Fahrenheit units
For manual adjustment of the temperature, the
unit of measure can be changed from Celsius to
Fahrenheit and vice versa.
Adjusting the temperature using the presets
For your convenience, the Cuisinart® wine
cellar has been programmed with eight
temperature presets, each corresponding to a
type of wine. To change the temperature settings,
simply press the «Preset» button on the control
panel located on the inside of the unit until the
desired preset (1 to 8) appears. The preset will
blink a few seconds, then disappear and the
pre-selected temperature will reappear
on the screen and fl ash until it is reached.
You will need to wait a moment for the
temperature of the wine cellar to reach the
pre-selected temperature.
Manual temperature adjustment
It is also possible to adjust the temperature of
the Cuisinart ® wine cellar manually. First, press
the manual adjustment button, then simply press
the «-» button on the control panel to lower the
temperature or the «+» button to raise it.
The desired temperature will then fl ash on the
screen until it is reached. You will need to wait
a moment for the unit to reach the selected
temperature.
