1.3.2. Typical Installation of Redundant Remote Bases
Pictured in figure 1 is an example of a typical hardware and cabling layout for achieving dual media
redundancy. The 2500-Tap RS-485 Remote I/O Tap and Terminator is required for dual media
applications.
NOTE
Only 2500-RIO-A or 2500-RIO-B controllers may be used in redundant or dual media applications.
CTI RIO modules cannot be combined with Siemens 505-6851A or 505-6851B modules.
