Useful notes for use
• Wear gloves in cold weather.
• On longer hikes you should ensure that you take enough to drink (take
a drinks belt or drinks rucksack if necessary).
• Wear suitable clothing in the winter.
Combination fixture for asphalt pad and
basket
You can keep the asphalt pad and the hiking pole basket on the
combination fixture. Use the asphalt pad when hiking on stony or hard
surfaces, and use the hiking pole basket on soft surfaces to prevent the
hiking pole from sinking into the ground. You may also remove the combi-
nation fixture. Pull the red rubber ring out of the guide on the fixture by its
tab. Then the fixture can then be removed from the pole.
To attach the combination fixture, place it on the pole again, wrap the
rubber ring around the pole once, and place it again into the leading
part on the combination fixture. If you are not using the asphalt pad or
the hiking pole basket on your current hike, then you can fix or insert
them into the basket change system attachment.
