Mazes
The flashing black square is the cursor. The goal of a maze is to
move the cursor to the exit at the bottom right-hand corner of
the maze.
At each stage simply touch the place where you want the cursor to
go next. The place must be in the same horizontal or vertical line as
the cursor, and not separated from it by a “wall”.
Word Tools
You can use the following utilities by selecting WORD TOOLS from
the main menu and pointing to the desired item. The “Crossword
Helper” is also available while you are solving a crossword by
pressing
and then CROSSWORD HELPER.
Crossword Helper
Suppose you are looking for a five-letter word beginning with “CH”
and ending with “E.” Touching the letters at the bottom of the
screen, type:
C H
E
is used in place of the unknown letters. Press to erase the letter
to the left of the cursor. Press
to delete the entire word.
When ready, press
. The computer lists all available matches. In
this example, CHOSE, CHASE, CHILE, and so forth. Press
or
to scroll down or up through the list of matches.
If you use the “Crossword Helper” while solving a crossword
puzzle, the computer assumes you are asking for help in finding
the word that includes the current arrow square. The computer
will automatically type this word as it currently appears in the
crossword grid including
