ASSEMBLY
To avoid injury, do not connect this
miter saw to the power source until
it is completely assembled and
adjusted and you have read and
understood this Operator’s Manual.
RELEASING CUTTING HEAD (FIG. A)
Raising
1. Push down slightly on the trigger
switch handle (1).
2. Pull out the hold-down latch (2).
3. Raise the cutting head to the
uppermost position.
NOTE:
This cutting head is spring
loaded.
To avoid injury and damage to the
saw, transport and store the miter
saw with the cutting head locked in
the down position. Never use the
hold-down latch to hold the cutting
head in a down position for cutting
operations.
WARNING
!
Locking
When transporting or storing the miter
saw, the cutting head should always be
locked in the down position.
1. Push the cutting head down.
2. Press the hold-down latch (2) in
to lock.
IMPORTANT:
To avoid damage, never
carry the miter saw by the trigger
switch handle or the cutting arm.
INSTALLING THE MITER HANDLE
(FIG. B)
1. Insert the miter handle (1) into the
hole in front of the miter saw and
align the hole (2) on the miter
handle (1) with the hole (3) in the
front of the table.
2. Thread the screw (4) through the
hole (3) in the table into the hole (2)
on the miter handle (1).
3. Tighten the screw (4) with a
screwdriver.
