9. Light Kit Assembly.
Remove 1 screw from motor plate on
underside of motor housing and partially
loosen the other 2 screws. Align slotted
holes in fitter plate with loosened screws in
motor plate, allowing molex connections
from motor housing to come through hole
in middle of fitter plate. Twist fitter plate to
lock. Re-insert screw that was just removed
and securely tighten all 3 screws with a
Phillips screwdriver.
Remove 2 screws from underside of fitter
plate and partially loosen the other screw.
Connect
WHITE
wire from motor housing to
WHITE
wire from LED light kit. Connect
BLUE
(or
BLACK
) wire from motor housing
to
BLUE
wire from LED light kit. Be sure
molex connections snap together securely.
Carefully arrange wiring within fitter plate.
Align one of the openings on the outer rim
of the LED light kit with the loosened screw
in the fitter plate. Then, slide the LED light kit
toward the loosened screw and push up on
the LED light kit, aligning the other 2
openings in the LED light kit with the holes
in the fitter plate. Re-insert the 2 screws that
were previously removed and tighten all
3 screws securely.
If you wish to USE the light kit
, align grooves
on shade with nodules on inside of fitter
plate and push up gently on shade. Turn
shade to the RIGHT (clockwise) until shade
locks into place.
Pull down VERY GENTLY on shade to make
sure that shade is secure.
If you do NOT wish to use the light kit
,
align
grooves in metal cover with nodules on
inside of fitter plate. Push up on metal cover
and then turn metal cover to the
RIGHT
(clockwise)
until it no longer turns.
WARNING
: Metal cover will be HOT if light is
left on.
