1.4 Conventions
LINGUISTIC CONVENTIONS

On the left, on the right : When speaking of such, we refer to the operator’s
position when facing the control panel.

Qualified workers :
all those people who thanks to their training,
experience, education as well as their knowledge of standards, regulations,
safety precautions and operation conditions, have been authorised by the
people in charge of the plant safety to carry out any necessary action and are
capable of identifying and avoiding possible danger.

: Personal Safety Equipment
: Where N represents a generic number ( e.g. ); symbolic representation
of a control or warning device ( e.g. buttons, selectors and indicator lights ).
: Where L represents a generic letter ( e.g. ); symbolic representation of
the machine.
NOTE: Notes contain important information and are highlighted separately from the
text to which they refer.
BEWARE : Beware indications describe the procedures, the partial or total non-
observance of which can cause damage to the machine or to the devices connected to
it.
DANGER:
Ranger indications describe the procedures, the partial or total non-
