6.0KW Aux. Electrical Heater
There
also
has
a 6KW electric heater, divided into 2*3KW, built in the water circuit after plate heat exchanger.
One of the 3KW is used as AH (Auxiliary Heater), while the other one is used as HBH (Heating Backup Heater).
For more detailed information, please refer to chapter 10, “Backup Heating”, in page 66.
For both AH and HBH, it will be turned ON if both conditions below are met:
(1) In heating operation, if heat pump unit’s capacity is not enough, it will give signal to turn ON AH ( HBH,
according to priority set via parameter setting) first; if after AH or HBH is turned ON, its capacity is still not
enough, it will give signal to turn ON HBH (or AH, according to the priority set via parameter setting).
(2) Actual heating water temperature is lower than the value set via digital thermostat in the unit.
By doing like this, digital thermostat works as a “limit” set manual, to ensure electric heater won’t be turned ON
by heat pump, if actual water temperature is over the value set via digital thermostat.
