General Information
The luminaire is designed and built in conformity with the latest technical rules at the time of
its development and production, so it is safe to operate.
Danger maybe presented by the luminaire, if it will be used for other than the intended purpose
and by unskilled personnel.
Please observe the standards and regulations of the VDE, the DIN as well as the following
safety notes!
3.1
Safety Notes
The luminaire shall only be used for its intended purpose and in undamaged and
perfect condition!
Only genuine CEAG spare parts may be used for replacement and repair!
When working on the emergency luminaire first the system must be interrupted and
mains must be cut off!
Enclosed the label of the luminaire:
Carry out the marking of the emergency luminaire: Assign the circuit and the
luminaire no. and enter them!
Log book records shall be kept in compliance with the national regulations!
3.2
Conformity with standards
Conforming to: EN 60 598-1, EN 60 598-2-22 as well as DIN EN 1838. Designed, manufactured
and tested acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001.
3.3
Contens of operating instructions
Every person, ordered to work with the luminaire, has to read the instructions carefully to
understand them before work begins.
3.4
Changes and modifications
To avoid danger and to assure optimum performance, changes and modifications to the lumi-
naire are not allowed, except when the manufacturer has approved them.
3.5
Personnel requirements
Only authorised and skilled personnel are allowed to work on and with the luminaire. Skilled
personnel refers to those with expert training, with knowledge and experience as well as
knowledge of the relevant regulations. He should be able to evaluate his work and recognise
the presence of danger.
