INPUT CONFIGURATION

The module has eight on board digital inputs that can be configured in a large variety of ways.  All
digital inputs are pulled high and must be closed to ground.  For alternatives, from simple switch
shutdowns to remote engine operation, contact CI application engineers to discuss.   The example
below shows a normally open, low engine oil switch that is wired into the digital 4 input.  The module
will monitor this input while the engine is running and will shut down the engine after five seconds if
the modules detects the switch is closed to ground.

OUTPUT CONFIGURATION

The module has eight on board relays that can be configured for engine operation and other
requirements.  Two relays are rated at 10 amps and six are rated at 5 amps.  Typically, relays 1 through
4 are reserved for engine operation while 5 through 8 are reserved for customer use.  All 8 are field
configurable.  In the example below, Relay 5 will close when the engine has started and open when it
is stopped.
