Initial setup

Connecting to AC power



Do not touch the barrel connector end of the AC power adapter with wet hands when
plugged into AC power. Failure to observe this warning could result in an electrical shock.



Do not install or connect the WA-700 to power or phone lines during a lightning storm.
Failure to observe this warning could result in an electrical shock.

Power up sequence

Upon power up, the WA-700 LEDs will do the following:



The Power, Program, and Alarm LEDs will light for a few seconds, then the Program and
Alarm LEDs will turn OFF



The Power LED will remain ON

Note:

A surge protector is recommended, but not provided. You can purchase a surge
protector from Protected Home or from a local computer or hardware store.

To connect AC power to the WA-700 through the AC power adapter, follow the number
sequence shown in Figure 3.
