Customer Speaker Installation
Option 1:
STS-S30 Surface Mounted Speaker (Overhead Installations)
The optimum installed height of this speaker is 6-8 feet from the customer.
Environments with more background noise may require a lower installation.
1. Unscrew the four screws on the sides of the speaker housing.
2. Remove the back plate from the speaker housing.
3.
Find a location on the customer side directly above the glass barrier
where interactions will take place. Ensure there is enough space to drill
and there is no glass behind the material.
4. Check the cable route to the amplifier location under the counter, noting
cable length and access through the countertop.
5. Mark the fixing points to mount the back plate while ensuring there is
access to retrieve the cable.
6. Drill fixing points using a drill bit smaller in diameter than the screws that
will be permanently installed.
7. Align the back plate with the fixing points. Ensure the notch for the wire is
at the top of the back plate.
8. Mount the back plate using the appropriate screws/fixings.
9.
Attach the speaker base to the back plate with the screws previously
removed in Step 1.
10. Route the cable from the speaker back to the amplifier in a neat and tidy
fashion, using cable containment where required.
