d) Rechargeable Battery Programme „DISCHARGE“
This rechargeable battery programme serves to discharge a rechargeable battery with
a set discharge current (100 mA to 1000 mA).
After insertion of the rechargeable battery into one of the 4 charging chutes, chose the rechargeable
battery programme „DISCHARGE“ with „
2
“ or „
8
“, then push the button „ENTER“.
The discharge current now flashes at the top of the display; set it with the button „
2
“ or „
8
“.
After confirmation with „ENTER“ (or if no button is pushed for more than 5 seconds), discharging
commences.
During discharging, the display alternatingly shows the rechargeable battery voltage in volt
(„DisCharge Volt“), the discharging current in mA („DisChargeRate“), the elapsed discharge
duration in hours/minutes („DisCharge Time“) and the discharged energy/charge capacity in
mAh („DisCharge Capacity“).
After the end of discharging, „DONE“ appears in the display. The discharge
capacity (in the figure on the right: 2193 mAh), the discharging duration and
cell voltage are displayed alternatingly.
The rechargeable battery can now be taken from the charger.
A rechargeable battery should not be stored in the discharged
condition since there may otherwise be deep discharge, which
will permanently damage the rechargeable battery.
