9.1 Installing the SATA Hard Drive

☞

A SATA hard drive is not included in the delivery. It must be purchased separately.

Fig. A

A SATA hard drive with a maximum capacity of 500 GB can be installed within the housing of the 4 Chan-
nel Digital Recorder.

To ensure correct installation, it is necessary to remove the cover of the 4 Channel Digital Recorder. The
cover of the 4 Channel Digital Recorder is secured with 7 housing screws (2 screws are attached to each
side and 3 are on the back of the device).

•

Ensure that the 4 Channel Digital Recorder is unplugged from the power supply and the device is
switched off.

•

Remove the 7 housing screws from the cover.

•

Carefully take off the cover.

•

Attach both the SATA connector and the power connector to your SATA hard drive.

•

Place the SATA hard drive into the intended mounting slot as shown in Fig. A.

•

Fasten the SATA hard drive into the slot with suitable screws.

•

Replace the cover onto the 4 Channel Digital Recorder and reattach the screws you removed previ-
ously.
