b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
• Batteries/rechargable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries
(pay attention to the negative and positive terminals).
• Never mix disposable batteries with rechargeable batteries!
• Always use one set of identical batteries/rechargeable batteries (from the same manufacturer,
of the same type, capacity and charge level).
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries around openly and unattended. There is a risk
of batteries being swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries may cause acid burns when the come
into contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Make sure that batteries/rechargeable batteries are not short-circuited, dismantled or
thrown into fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable
batteries which are intended for this purpose.
• In case of longer periods of non-use (e.g. during storage) remove the inserted batteries/
rechargeable batteries to avoid damage from possible leakage.
• This device can be used with rechargeable batteries, but due to their lower voltage (battery
= 1.5V, rechargeable = 1.2V), the service life is shorter.
