Depending on the water volume consumed, the corresponding salt consumption must be regularly moni-
tored. If necessary refill the regenerating salt (only use quality according to DIN EN 973). Hygienic care is
required when refilling salt. For example, the salt packages should be cleaned before use so that contami-
nations cannot get into the salt solution container. The regenerating salt must be tipped directly from the
opened package into the salt solution container. Ensure that the salt solution container is not overfilled
and that it is carefully closed again at the end of the work. Part packages are to be avoided. The salt may
only be stored in clean and dry rooms.
9.2
BIANNUAL MAINTENANCE BY THE OPERATOR
In addition to the scope of checks of the two-month inspection, the operator must check the following
every six months:
/ Tightness between water softener and wastewater connection.
In the operating position there should not flow any water from the wastewater hose (see fig. 6).
/ Residual hardness.
Checks can be made using a hardness measuring equipment (included in delivery).
9.3
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE BY THE CUSTOMER
SUPPORT
Once a year a maintenance is required by a licensed crafts enterprise or by the factory customer support.
9.4
MESSAGE “MAINTENANCE/SERVICE”
After operating for a period of one year, the water softener issues a message requiring maintenance. The
display shows the following:
After maintenance has been carried out, reset the message by pressing the <OK> key for at least 5 sec-
onds.
In the submenu “Info” the number of remaining operating days until the next required maintenance can be
called up.
