Setting up Virtual Server
The Conceptronic C/C is equipped with a build-in Firewall to
prevent attacks from the Internet on your network. This Firewall blocks automatically
all incoming traffic on unused ports. When a blocked port is needed for a service or
application (for example: a FTP Server or WEB Server) you can create a Virtual Server
Rule in the Configuration Pages to forward the traffic.
1.
Start your web browser (like: Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari).
2.
Enter the IP address of the device in the address bar of your web browser (By
default:
http://192.168.1.1/
).
A Login popup will appear on your screen:
Note:
For detailed information about the Virtual Server & DMZ options, see the User
Manual (English only!) on the CD-ROM. Please select “
View User Manual
”
from the Autorun Menu.
Note:
When using Virtual Server rules, it is advised to configure the computer(s)
with a Fixed IP Address instead of a Dynamic IP Address.
