Cleaning and replacing the filters
a) Metal fat retention filters
During the normal use of the appliance, the metal fat filters should be checked, or cleaned
respectively, every month. In case of more frequent frying or deep frying, shorten the
replacement interval.
Do not use the appliance without properly mounted metal fat retention filters!
1. Remove the metal filters (Fig. 1).
2. Let the metal filters soak in warm water with detergent added. Clean them with a soft
brush, rinse with clean water, and let dry.
3. Remount the completely dry filters following the reverse steps.

b) Carbon filter (must be separately bought)
This filter is used only in the re-circulation mode.
The filter contains active carbon that absorbs the ventilated odours. After a while,
the active carbon is saturated, and loses its absorption ability. The filter can‘t be
washed or otherwise cleaned.
Under regular use, the carbon filter should be replaced every 2 months. In case of
more frequent frying or deep frying, shorten the replacement interval.
1. Remove the metal filters (Fig. 1).
2. Press 2 latches at front side to release the carbon filter and tip its front part
out. Slide the back part of the filter out off the grove at the back wall of the
exhauster (Fig.2).
3. Put the new carbon filter in the groove in the back side of the exhauster, and
press the front part upwards so that both latches lock-on.
4. Put the metal filters back.
Cleaning of the drip tray
A plastic drip tray is placed in front of the motor of the appliance (Fig. 3). This
collects the respective condensates which may be built inside the exhaust
piping. During a normal use of the appliance, the condensates evaporates during
the operation. Therefore we recommend to check the drip tray every month and
clean, if necessary.
