Reference Frequency Fine Tuning Word
Command String: “
PBM”
Function:
Sets a tuning voltage for the internal frequency reference by
adjusting the output of a 12-bit DAC.
Parameter:
XXXX = Set DAC output to a count value of 0 to 4095.
+XXX = Increment current DAC setting by xxx counts.
-XXX = Decrement current DAC setting by xxx counts.
Examples:
PBM3206 - Set DAC output to count 3206.
PBM+10 - Increment DAC output voltage by 10 counts.
Compatibility:
Not supported on all amps. If the feature is not supported, the
command will be NAK’d.
Status LED Mode
Command String: “
PBW”
Function:
Sets the operating mode of the status LED on Outdoor amplifiers.
Parameter:
‘0’ - Set LED to normal mode.
‘1’ - Set LED to disabled mode (LED off).
Example: “
PBW1” - Disables status LED
Compatibility:
Only applies to Outdoor amplifiers. Not supported by all ODU
amps. If feature is not supported, the command will be NAK’d.
Reflected RF Trip
Command Byte:
‘O’
Function:
Sets a Reflected RF trip point. If reflected power exceeds the set
point, an alarm or fault is generated, as specified by the user. (Note: A
hardware Reflected RF Trip Point is pre-set at the factory. You cannot adjust
the hardware trip point by changing the software trip point). By default, the
trip point is not enabled until the “Enable RF Limits” command (‘R’) is
processed.
Parameter:
“AXXXX” to set an Alarm trip point.,
“FXXXX” to set a Fault trip point, “D” to disable.
XXXX is the desired trip point in Watts.
Optional Parameter:
“M” - desired power in dBm.
Example: OAMxx.x
RF Inhibit
Command Byte:
‘I’
Function:
Inhibits RF drive to the TWT.
Compatibility:
Attenuator required.
