Assembling ladders and attaching to deck support structure
3.a. Make a mark 108” up from the bottom of the ladder onto each ladder rail. Move the adjustable sleeves to
these marks and position them to receive the horizontal ladder by turning them to point at a 90 degree angle
(towards what will become the inside of the Horizontal ladder section of the structure.) Secure the set screws.
Notice the direction of the rungs on the ladders:
The ladder

the
holes drilled has the
rungs facing up.
The ladder
without
the holes drilled
has the rungs facing
down.
3.b. Place the vertical ladders onto their sides. The ladder rungs should be positioned to allow for access into the
club house. Attach the horizontal ladder to the vertical ladders and secure the set screws. Hint: Do not push the
horizontal ladder tight against the vertical ladders. Leave a ½” to 1” gap between the vertical ladder rails and the
horizontal. This will allow for easier adjustment of the horizontal ladder in the future.
