5-3 OVERLOAD PROTECTION.

WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK can kull.
HOT PARTS can cause severe burns.
Disconnect Unit BEFORE inspection unit.
1.- CIRCUIT BREAKER CB1.
CB1 protects unit
from overload in 120 Volts receptacle. Reset
CB1 if necessary.
Reinstall Top Befeore Operation Unit.
SPARK GAPS
5-4 OVERHEATING.
When overheating, thermostat opens, output
stops, and cooling fan keeps running.
Let fan run for 15 minutes.
5-5 ADJUSTING SPARK GAPS.

Tools needed:
0.010 in" (0.254mm)
Start welding.

Turn off welding power source and disconnect input
power. Turn screw on lower front panel, and open
access door.
1.-TUNGSTEN END OF POINT.
Do not clean or dress
tungsten, replace point if tungsten end disappears.
2.- SPARK GAP.
Normal spark gap is 0.010
in(0.254mm). If spark gap is okay, close and secure
access door. If adjustment is needed, continue as
follows.
3.- ADJUSTMENT SCREWS.
Loosen screws. Place
gauge of proper thickness in spark gap.
4.-PRESSURE POINT.
Apply slight pressure at point
until gauge is held firmly in gap. Tighten adjustment
screw. Repeat gauge adjustment with other gap.
Close access door.
