Figure 1-10 shows a single-fabric SAN topology containing one ServerNet II Switch and 12
ServerNet II PCI Adapters installed in ProLiant servers. In this example, you connect one port
on each Adapter to the Switch with one SAN cable (X-to-X 

or

 Y-to-Y), depending upon

whether you configure an X-fabric or a Y-fabric Switch. This produces a 12-node SAN
topology.
