Removal and replacement procedures

Maintenance and Service Guide

4–41

Remove the modem module:

1. Turn the computer right-side up, with the front toward you.

2. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws

that secure the modem module to the system board.

3. Disconnect the modem module cable

from the modem module.

4. Lift up on the front of the modem module

to disconnect it from the system board.

Reverse this procedure to install the modem module.

When replacing the modem module, be sure that the connector on the bottom of the modem module connects
firmly to the system board.
