Volume
In general an industrial station requires a lot of more volume than a normal station, e.g. because of
high ambient noises.
Therefore it is possible to define different volume settings for the industrial station by programming in
CCT 800.
2-Way Volume Control
It is possible to define two different volume modes (“High”, “Low”) for varying ambient noises.
Two types of volume control (“High” – “Low”) are available:
Automatic volume control
Manual volume control
Automatic volume control
The microphone of the station monitors the current noise level and automatically activates the adequa-
te volume mode.
Additionally it is possible to automatically switch to volume mode “Low” when a button is pressed at
the station to protect the person in front of the station against the high volume.
Note:
During a conversation or a call request, the automatic volume control
is deactivated. This means the microphone does not monitor the ambient noise level during that period
of time (because of different noise level conditions during the conversation / the call request). But
during the conversation / the call request there is a possibility to toggle manually between the volume
modes “High” and “Low” .
Configuration CCT 800:
Subscriber > DSP-Features > tab microphone, Tones
In the combo-box
mic level internal
the microphone sensitivity for the internal microphone (micro-
phone module) is configured.
Note: When using the built-in microphone (e.g. EM 680, EM 660) as a noise-cancelling microphone
(at very high ambient noises), the microphone gain is set to –15 dB.
n the combo-box
mic level external
the microphone sensitivity for the external microphone (e.g.
handset) is configured.
Subscriber > DSP-Features >
tab
voice control
In the combo-box
Threshold - loud
the level can be selected, at which the automatic switching to
volume mode “High” is carried out.
In the combo-box
Threshold - silent
the level can be selected, at which the automatic switching to
volume mode “Low” is carried out.
Note:
The settings (as well as menu entries) of the combo-boxes
Threshold – High
and
Threshold – Low
will be changed/adjusted automatically, if the “mic level internal” is changed
