Grounding of Intercom Server
If heavy electromagnetic interference is to be expected (industrial environments) -> grounding of the
Intercom Server
If grounding is applied, then it must be carried out consequently in the entire system!
Inconsequent grounding measures can lead to degradation of the interference robustness
(e.g.: when only the shield lines of the ASK cables are grounded)
The GE 800 is prepared for grounding via the design (grounding surfaces) of the bus PCB and the
interface cards.
Additional measures
Using “ferrite cores” at the subsrciber cable against high-frequency interference
Use shielded twisted pair cables - for
A and B
and
C and D
each a twisted pair of wires
