10 Troubleshooting
PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Power supply LED flashes Make sure the power supply voltage is between 18 - 30 Vdc.
No LEDs lit on display and
fan NOT working
Make sure the 24 Vdc power supply is present and that the +/- polarities have been
observed. Make sure the fuse has been positioned correctly and that it has not
blown.
No LEDs lit on display and
fan WORKING Make sure the ribbon cable is fully connected to the main circuit board and the
display.
Flow HI or LOW LED lit
Make sure the inlet pipes have been installed correctly, the cover is fitted properly
and the enclosure is fully sealed. Make sure the airflow calibration procedure has
been carried out (see section 6.2). Make sure the filter is in good condition (see
section 8).
Flow reading LED lit
Flow values on the LED bar
chart change erratically
Decrease the flow sensitivity and re-calibrate the unit (see section 6.2)
Flow reading LED lit No
extreme pipe breakage or
complete obstruction
conditions are detected
Increase the flow sensitivity and re-calibrate the unit (see section 6.2)
Detector Fault indication
Make sure the detector address is correct (see section 5)
Make sure the detector is fully seated in its base.
Make sure the correct mode has been selected (see section 6.2.1)
Make sure the detector optics are clean.
