9 EN54-20 Sensitivity classes
The detectors used in ILS-2 have been independently tested and approved for use in EN54-20 certified
Class A, B or C installations.
The following information will show the requirements for compliance with the abovementioned standard.

table 9-1 shows the limit that should not be exceeded for the 3 sensitivity classes. Figures are based on
the configurations shown in section 4.8:
Standard pipe configurations

The maximum number of holes is based on the following standard configurations:
• Class A: 3 x 4 mm holes including the end cap hole.
• Class B: 6 x 4 mm holes including the end cap hole.
• Class C: 17 x 3 mm holes plus 1 x 6 mm end cap hole.
Note: any changes to the standard configuration should be verified using the ASPIRE2 modelling software.
