1) Set up the equipment as described in the applicable standard or approved
test plan. An example setup diagram is given in Figure 15.
2) Turn on all equipment and allow sufficient time for stabilization. Set the
frequency of the signal generator and measurement equipment to 10 kHz,
unmodulated.
3) Adjust the output level of the signal generator until the forward power value
indicated on Spectrum Analyzer/EMI Receiver #2 is equal to the respective
forward power value recorded during Step 4 of the Test Level Calibration
Procedure described in Section 5.3.
4) Measure the current present in the calibration circuit by subtracting the Transfer
Impedance Factor for the current monitoring probe from the voltage value (in
dBµV) measured on Spectrum Analyzer/EMI Receiver #1. The resulting
measured current must be within
±3 dB
of the applicable calibration test level
(see section 5.2).
5) Set the frequency of the signal generator and measurement equipment to the
next test frequency (see section 5.1).
6) Repeat Steps 3-5 until all test frequencies have been verified.
