Vehicle Load Capacities
VEHICLE LOAD CAPACITIES
Occupant Capacity
The occupant capacity is the maximum allowable weight for occupants (operator and passengers) to operate
the vehicle safely.
Cargo Capacity
The cargo capacity is the maximum amount of load that the vehicle can haul in the cargo bed and includes the
weight of vehicle accessories and trailer tongue weight.
Vehicle Rated Capacity
The vehicle rated capacity is the maximum amount of weight on the vehicle. This capacity includes weight of
occupants, bed load, accessories, and trailer tongue weight, but does not include gross trailer weight.
Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight
The maximum gross vehicle weight is the combination of the vehicle weight and the vehicle rated capacity. The stated
maximum gross vehicle weight must not be exceeded to maintain safe vehicle operation.
Refer to Figure 13 for the following specifications.
Café Express Deluxe SE vehicles
A: Occupant capacity 400 lb (181 kg)
B: Cargo capacity (cargo bed load (B) 650 lb (294.8 kg)
A + B : Vehicle rated capacity 850 lb (386 kg)
A + B + Vehicle Weight = Maximum gross vehicle weight 3350 lb (1520 kg)
* Towing is not allowed on the Café Express Deluxe SE vehicles.
NOTE: While the maximum rated occupant capacity is 400 lb (181.4 kg) and the cargo capacity is 650 lb (294.8 kg),
operating the vehicle at both maximums (occupant and cargo) will exceed the vehicle rated capacity by 200 lb
(90.7 kg). Make sure to reduce associated capacities to adhere to the maximum vehicle rated capacity limit.
