INSTALL ANGLED BRACES FOR THE FRAME

The angled braces provide additional support for the

end rafters. This bracing is installed in three (3) locations

between the end rafter and the first inside rafter

at each

end of the assembled frame

. The parts needed to install

the angled braces are the same

regardless of the building

length.

Required tools:
•  Adjustable pliers to install tension bands
•  100441 nut setter (included) for Tek screws
•  Wrenches to tighten 5/16" nuts
•  Lift to reach the brace locations

Complete these steps to install the tension bands and to

attach the angled braces:
1.  Locate two (2) 106734 tension bands and one (1)

HBT166AB10 angled brace (110") and move to one of

the locations between the end rafter and inside rafter

shown below.

2.  Place the tension bands over the lateral brace at that

location. Use adjustable pliers to squeeze the clamp

back together once it is placed around the brace.

NOTE:

Consult the diagrams in the Quick Start Guide

section of these instructions for additional information

and details.

11.  Verify that the second rafter will stay in position and

that a nut and washer are installed on each of the studs

(straight tubes) to hold the lateral braces in place.

NOTE:

These nuts should remain loose so they can

be removed when the next set of lateral braces are

installed.

12. Lift the next rafter and repeat the necessary steps to

set it in place.

13. Select another set of lateral braces and the 1/2" nuts

and lock washers and install the braces between this

set of rafters.

NOTE:

The flattened ends of the lateral braces will

overlap each other when placed over the studs of

all

inside rafters

. Consult the Quick Start Guide diagrams

for additional views and details.

14. Move to the second rafter and tighten all nuts to secure

the lateral braces to that rafter.

15. Repeat the steps to install the remaining rafters and

lateral bracing for the frame assembly.

NOTE:

To protect the cover when it is installed, set

the final end rafter so that the bolt heads at each tube

splice face to the outside of the frame.

16. When the frame is assembled and all lateral braces are

secured in place, continue with the installation of the

angled braces.

10. Return to the end rafter and tighten all nuts to secure

the lateral bracing to the end rafter.

Do not remove the

temporary bracing of the first end rafter until additional

rafters are set in position.

ATTENTION:

The total number of lateral braces attached

between the end rafter and the first inside

rafter is ten (10);

seven (7) are secured between the straight tubes of the

rafters and three (3) are secured to underside of the curved

rafter tubes.

See the Front - Profile diagram (Quick Start).

These are the locations of

the double lateral braces

installed earlier at each end

of the assembled frame.

Install an angled brace in

each of these locations at

each end of the frame.
