PREPARE AND INSTALL THE MAIN COVER

 

Gather the parts:
•  Main Cover 
•  Pipe 1.315'' x 75'' swaged (#131S075)
•  Pipe 1.315'' x XX'' plain 
•  Nylon strap (#103620B)
•  Tek screws

NOTE:

 Each cover conduit consists of 1.315" x 75" 

(#131S075) pipes (number is determined by shelter length) 

and one (1) 1.315" x XX" (#131P0XX) pipe. 

 

The XX" represents the remaining length required to reach 

the end of the shelter. Consult the Spec Sheet and Side 

Profile diagrams for part identification for your building.

        

WARNING:

 To prevent damage to the main cover and 

prevent serious personal injury, 

do not install the main 

cover on a windy day

. 

When handling the main cover and setting it in position, do 

not pull on the end straps. They will pull out of the cover. 

 

Complete these steps to prepare the frame and install the 

main cover:
1.  Fasten a ratchet to the end frame using a Tek screw in 

the bottom hole of the ratchet as shown below. Position 

the ratchet about 6" in from the end of the conduit. 

Repeat this step at the other end of the frame.

 

2.  Attach one (1) ratchet on the 

inside 

of each end rafter 

leg a few inches below the strut clamps. If the optional 

front panel is installed, attach the ratchet to the rafter 

through the panel. See Step 1. Diagram below shows 

ratchet position when no front panel is installed.

3.  On the 

curved wall side

, attach one ratchet to the inside 

or outside of 

each interior rafter

 using Tek screws. 

Do 

not attach a ratchet to either of the end rafter.

  

NOTE:

 Diagram above shows the ratchet attached to 

the outside of the interior rafter. Ratchet can also be 

attached to the inside surface of the rafter to better 

protect the cover once it is installed. The remaining two 

(2) ratchets for the main cover are installed in the next 

procedure. 

4.  Continue by installing the main cover.
