Device Functions
• The device features electronic
temperature setting
, which reliably sets and main-
tains the chosen temperature. You can use the button
(

) to select the temperature
you want (see the "Temperature Setting" section).
• With
the
steam quantity control
(

) you can select the quantity of steam to be
emitted during steam-ironing. On level
no steam is produced; on level
the
largest amount of steam is emitted. You can
fi
nd the suitable steam quantity level by
consulting the table in the "Temperature Setting" section.
• The device has an
automatic switch-on function
and an
automatic safety switch-
off function.
Both work with the device in both the horizontal and vertical position:
1. If the iron is not moved in the horizontal position (or lying on its side) for around
25 to 30 seconds and in the vertical position for around 8 to 10 minutes, the
supply of heat switches off and the device goes into stand-by (automatic safety
switch-off function).
CAUTION:
It takes a little while for the bottom of the iron
to cool down. Even once the device is in stand-by mode, never leave it
unattended while it is still connected to the mains power!
2. On the display the

and at
regular intervals a beep reminds you that the iron is switched on and is not being
used.
3. When you move the iron, it switches back on again (automatic switch-on func-
tion).
