Cleaning and Care
PLEASE NOTE!
■
Empty the dust container when it is full up to the
MAX
marking, and regularly clean
all
fi
lters to prevent the motor from overheating.
■
Do
not
clean the
fi
lters with water!
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the de-
vice. These could damage the surfaces.
The
fi
lters may lose some of their colour over time. This is normal and does not
have any adverse effect on function.
Emptying the Dust Container
1. Press the release button of the dust container and pull it out of the device by the
handle.
2. Pull the fastening tab (
B
) on the dust container lid forwards
and pull the dust container lid upwards.
3. Hold the dust container over a dustbin and tip it out.
Clean the dust container regularly with a damp cloth and
then dry it thoroughly.
4. Insert the dust container lid into the locking lug on the front
of the dust container and then press it down. The fastening
tab must be heard to engage in place.
Inserting the Dust Container into the Device
1. Grip the dust container by the handle and
fi
rst insert the bottom of the container into
the device.
2. Press the handle against the device housing until the dust container audibly engages
in the locking catch.
3. Lift up the device by the dust container handle to check whether the dust container
is in the correct position.
Cleaning the Motor Filters
The device has two motor
fi
lters which
fi
t on the dust container.
1. Remove the dust container from the device and empty it (see “Emptying the Dust
Container”).
2. Pull on the tab (
C
) and remove the
fi
lter holder.
3. Remove the foam
fi
lter from the
fi
lter holder.
Please Note:
The HEPA
fi
lter is attached to the
fi
lter hold-
er and cannot be taken out of the holder!
4. Tap out both motor
fi
lters and brush off any loose dirt.
IMPORTANT:
Do
not
clean the motor
fi
lters with water!
