2. Swing the steam valve outwards and place a jug under the valve. After swit-
ching the equipment on and opening the steam control switch please turn the
knob counter clock wise. This opens the steam valve entirely.
3. Now, please press the pump button. Water is passed from the percolating head
to the steam nozzle. Allow the water to flow for at least one to two minutes
through the steam nozzle.
4. After ventilation via the steam valve please release the pump button and close
the steam control switch clock wise to close the steam valve completely.
We advise to ventilate the equipment via the steam valve and afterwards via the
brew head (this way you will be able to remove all air bubbles out the system) to
heat up the system.
Making Espresso
Please remember, Espresso has to be finer than regular percolator coffee.
1. Insert the plug into a 230 V /50 Hz socket, installed according to existing regula-
tions and with earth protection.
2. Please fill fresh cold water into the tank and switch on the ON/OFF switch. The
control lamp on the switch lights up.
3. Push the PUMP button. As soon as water runs out the brew head, release the
PUMP button, to stop the pump and wait until the readiness light comes on. The
water has reached the optimal temperature.
4. Insert the filter into the holder. Fill with 1 – 2 levelled spoons of coffee. Make
sure the coffee is spread evenly and press lightly with a measuring / pressing
spoon. Please remove carefully all obsolete coffee from the filter rim.
5. Insert the filter into the brew head and turn the handle towards LOCK (the filter
is properly locked in place, when the handle is positioned in the middle of the
machine). Place the espresso cup(s) under the brew head.
When the readiness lamp lights up press the pump button and espresso start
running into the cup(s). Your machine is working with approx. 15 bar pressure.
When the readiness lamp switches off, release the pump button to stop the pro-
cedure.
After brewing please wait several seconds, before removing the filter. Turn the
handle of the filter (from right to left) to release it. Attention: Pressure! To empty
the filter, please use the small special lever to hold the filter in place. Turn the fil-
ter upside down and tap out the used coffee grain. Please remove the filter after
each brewing process. This will prolong the live of the rubber gasket in the brew
head. To produce further espresso please refill the filter and wait until the rea-
diness lamp switches on again and proceed as described above.
Making Cappuccino
To froth milk please proceed as follows:
1. Press the steam button and wait until the steam and readiness lamp lights up.
