SMOKE LEAK DETECTOR
• Engine oil cap adapter (BMW)
For most BMW vehicles, introducing smoke from the intake/vacuum line may not be as
effective, whereas by using this adapter to introduce smoke into the system from the
engine oil filler port, the leak could be easily found.
• Smoke diffuser
It is the only accessory that requires the car engine to be turned on!
To test the tightness of the passenger compartment, windows or doors. The smoke coming
out of the smoke diffuser would be in the shape of a column when there is no wind.
Switch on the air conditioning and turn it to maximum, close the doors and windows.
Move the smoke diffuser towards the seals of the windows or doors, if the shape of the
smoke changes, there is a leak.
• Fuel system kit
To connect to gasoline vehicle fuel lines (EVAP) or other hoses that may accommodate
this accessory and test for leaks.
• EVAP Kit
This tool kit contains 2 pieces.
•
OBD-II adapter
The OBD-II adapter is designed to connect the smoke supply nozzle to the
OBD-II EVAP socket. This connection provides access to the Fuel Vapor
Recovery Assembly (EVAP) for inspection and testing. Connecting the unit
to this location allows the technician to determine if there is a leak and quickly
locate the smoke leak.
Note: The Schrader valve must be removed from the service connection
before installing the adapter. This valve has left-hand threads.
•
Schrader Valve Removal Tool
The Schrader Valve Removal Tool is used to remove the Schrader valve from
the OBD-II service connection before connecting the service port adapter.
