E. Fitting and Setting the Work Stop
The Work Stop may be used so that pieces of
equal length may be cut, without having to
measure each individual piece.
To fit the work stop, insert the Work Stop Support
Rod (
‘A’, Fig.8)
into the mounting, as shown.
With the workpiece set in the vice at the desired
position, and firmly held in place, bring the work
stop up to the work and lock in place using the
lock knob (‘B’), It is now a simple matter, once
the first cut has been made, to open the vice
jaws, slide the workpiece out until it touches the
WARNING!
DO NOT attempt to change speed whilst the machine is running. Ensure the
blade has come to a complete stop, and the plug is disconnected from the
mains supply
work stop - near to the bottom of the cut is preferred, and retightening the vice
jaws, ready for the next cut.

G. Setting the Cutting Speed
A two speed gearbox provides for different types of material to be cut. Use the
chart below to determine the speed setting, depending upon the material being
cut.
F. The Coolant Tank
Fill the coolant tank with
Clarke Cutting Oil, (see
page 23),
or Coolant (soluble oil), mixed according
to the manufacturers recommendations, or
Do not
allow to run dry.
Ensure the coolant is clean and
always of the correct consistency.
The coolant pump is switched ON by pushing the
GREEN knob (I), shown in Fig 9, and switched OFF
by pushing the RED knob (O)
