Operations Common to Each Mode
Clearing titles
1. Either receive the TV station, or play a CD
whose title you want to clear.
2. Touch the centre of the display to set to the
user title display.
When the display changes to the user title
display, “USER” is displayed above the
preset No. display.
3. Press and hold the [A] button for 1 second
or longer.
The mode changes to the title entry mode.
4. Touch and hold the title display for 2
seconds or longer.
All characters in the title disappear.
5. Touch and hold MEMO for 2 seconds or
longer.
You will hear a long beep, and the title is
cleared.

Type of text
The text that is displayed changes according to
the text type display.
When text type display is “A”: A E I M Q U X

When text type is “0-9”, “!?” or “Å”:
All characters are displayed.

Touching this returns the display to the main
display.
NEXT
Touching this displays the next text list.
Entering titles
You can give TV stations a title up to 10
characters long, and to CDs. These titles can be
displayed when broadcasts are received or
when playing CDs.
The number of titles that can be entered is as
follows:
1. Either receive the TV station, or play a CD
for which you want to enter the title.
2. Touch the centre of the display to set to the
user title display.
When the display changes to the user title
display, “USER” is displayed above the
preset No. display.
3. Press and hold the [A] button for 1 second
or longer.
The mode changes to the title entry mode.
4. Touch
on the title display to determine
the entry position.
The position of the blinking text moves to the
left or the right.

Up to ten characters can be input.
CAUTION
Pressing the reset button clears all user
memories such as titles stored on this unit.

6. Either touch

7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 to enter the title.
Pressing and holding the title display for 2
seconds or longer causes all currently
entered title characters to disappear.
8. Touch and hold MEMO for 2 seconds or
longer.
You will hear a long beep, and the title is
stored in memory.

To switch the title display to the clock
or other display
Touch the centre of the display.

When a new title is stored beyond the
maximum number of titles
In the case of a TV station
Titles not stored to preset channels are
automatically cleared, and the new title is stored
in memory.
In the case of a CD
Titles of CDs that have been played the least
are cleared, and the new title is stored in
memory.
