Using the backup analog FXO line using a dialing a prefix

1.

Dial the configured analog FXO prefix. 

2.

The FXO line-key configured with that dialing prefix is selected. If more 
than one FXO line-key is configured with the same dialing prefix, then the 
first enabled analog FXO line-key will be used in the following order:

•

FXO  Pool

•

FXO  1

•

FXO  2

3.

Once the FXO line is selected, you will hear analog dial tone and the line-
lamp will light to indicate that the line is active.

4.

Make the call in the normal way as provided by your local telephone 
company or CLEC.

5.

Hang up when the call is complete.

Using the backup analog FXO line to dial an Emergency Number

1.

Lift the handset or press the handsfree (speaker) button. 

2.

Dial the configured emergency number. The FXO line-key configured with 
that emergency number is automatically selected. If more than one FXO 
line-key is configured with the same emergency number, then the first 
enabled analog FXO line-key will be used in the following order:

•

FXO  Pool

•

FXO  1

•

FXO  2

3.

Once the FXO line key is selected, you will hear analog dial tone and the 
line-lamp will light to indicate that the line is active.

4.

Make the call in the normal way as provided by your local telephone 
company or CLEC.

5.

Hang up when the call is complete.

Hanging up an FXO call

On phones that do not have a RELEASE key, press the analog FXO line-key a 
second time to hand up a call. If the call is not hung up, the FXO will remain in 
use and will not be accessible to anyone else.
