Chapter 3 Node Setup

Creating Protection Groups

•

Revertive

—if checked, the ONS 15327 reverts back to the working port after failure conditions are

corrected.

•

Reversion time

—if

Revertive

is checked, enter the amount of time following a corrected failure

condition that the ONS 15327 should switch back to the working port.

Step 7

OK.

Note

The default XTCPROTGRP provides XTC-level protection for DS-1 and DS-3 ports. It is non-revertive
and cannot be modified or deleted.

Procedure: Enable Ports

Step 1

Log into the node in CTC and display the card you want to enable in card view.

Step 2

Click the

Provisioning > Line

tabs.

Step 3

Under the Status column, select

In Service

Apply
