Meaning
LED Position or Colour
LED type
Indicates that the environmntal monitors are normal.
Green
SYSTEM
Indicates a minor fault such as partial power supply
or fan failure.
Amber
Indicates a major fault. For example, situations where
the temperature of the supervisor module exceeds the
critical threshold.
Red
Indicates that the supervisor module is operational
and is functioning as the active supervisor (in
redundant supervisor module configurations).
Green
ACTIVE
Indicates one of the following:
• ROMMON mode
• Supervisor module is functioning as the standby
supervisor (in redundant supervisor module
configurations)
Amber
Indicates Graceful Insertion and Removal (GIR) of
the module.
Blinking Amber

Blue
BLUE BEACON
Port link is up but there is no packet activity.
Green
PORT LINK
Port link is up and indicating packet activity.
Blinking Green
Port link is disabled, that is, administratively down.
Amber
No signal is detected, the link is down, or the port is
not connected.
