Step 1

Remove the controller from its container and save all packaging material.

Step 2

Compare the shipment to the equipment list provided by your customer service representative. Verify that you have all
items.

Step 3

Check for damage and report any discrepancies or damage to your customer service representative. Have the following
information ready:

• Invoice number of shipper (see the packing slip)
• Model and serial number of the damaged unit
• Description of damage
• Effect of damage on the installation

Installation Guidelines

Read the installation instructions before using, installing or connecting the system to the power source.

Statement 1004

Warning

This product relies on the building’s installation for short-circuit (overcurrent) protection. Ensure that the
protective device is rated not greater than: 20A.

Statement 1005

Warning

The plug-socket combination must be accessible at all times, because it serves as the main disconnecting
device.

Statement 1019

Warning

A readily accessible two-poled disconnect device must be incorporated in the fixed wiring. This is applicable
to systems with DC power supply only.

Statement 1022

Warning

This equipment must be grounded. Never defeat the ground conductor or operate the equipment in the absence
of a suitably installed ground conductor. Contact the appropriate electrical inspection authority or an electrician
if you are uncertain that suitable grounding is available.
