Testing phase
The table below indicates the functions you can perform when you are in the Test
phase.

This phase allows you to test the following characteristics of the
handheld controller.
Test RAM
The
YES/NO
option tests the
RAM
which is a small part of U113.
Note
: The result is indicated by
PASS/FAIL.
Test ROM
The
YES/NO
option executes a check
test on the
EPROM (U108).
Note
: The result is indicated by
PASS/FAIL.
Test EEPROM
The
YES/NO
option erases
and rewrites
each word on the EEPROM (U108).
Note
: The result is indicated by
PASS/FAIL.
Compliance criteria
The handheld controller may display unrecognizable characters due to an
electrostatic discharge (ESD) event, especially a discharge on the top part where the
interface cable is connected. The user should disconnect and reinsert the interface
cable from the equipment that is being accessed. This resets the handheld controller
so that it may resume its function.
