These sections describe how to configure power management on the Catalyst 4500 series switches and
the Catalyst 4006 switch.
Note
The tasks in these sections apply only to the Catalyst 4500 series and Catalyst 4006 switches unless
otherwise noted.
Setting Redundant Mode for the Catalyst 4500 Series Switches
To set redundant mode on the Catalyst 4500 series switch, perform this task in privileged mode:

has a separate source of power.
If you insert a Cisco legacy powered
