The following sections describe how to configure CGMP.
CGMP Hardware and Software Requirements
CGMP requires these hardware and software versions:

Software release 2.2 or later releases
•
Router running CGMP
Default CGMP Configuration

shows the default CGMP configuration.
Enabling CGMP
Note
You cannot enable CGMP if IGMP snooping or GMRP is enabled.
To enable CGMP on the switch, perform this task in privileged mode:
This example shows how to enable CGMP and verify the configuration:
Console> (enable) set cgmp enable
CGMP support for IP multicast enabled.
Console> (enable) show cgmp statistics 1
CGMP enabled
