SAFETY DEVICES
Apart from the normal manual switch, the machine is also equipped with an auto-
matic safety micro-switch, which obstructs or stops the function of the engine
when the components of the container aren’t bound each other, in order to isola-
te the blades from any possible external contact.
Then, when the machine is working, it is possible to introduce food only through
the feeding tube, which – for further safety – has been made long and thin.
The machine is also equipped with a thermo safety circuit that becomes operati-
ve automatically when the motor is submitted to an intensive and long lasting
effort, which can cause an overheating.
Since this automatism becomes operative with large advance, the damages at the
motor never occur.
However if the circuit becomes operative we advise you to switch the machine off
and wait 10 minutes before switching it on again.
MAINTENANCE
The device doesn’t need any particular maintenance, but only a careful cleaning
of the accessories after their use, obtainable in the dishwashing machine, too. We
advice not to use any abrasive steel wool or powders, which may ruin or scratch
the aesthetic components of the device. We obviously recommend not to immer-
se the motor-base in water and to clean it only with a damp cloth, after cutting
the power.
To remove any encrustation left on the several elements, it is better to use the pla-
stic palette knife.
When the device is off, we advice not to leave the cover on the basin too long, in
order not to damage uselessly the micro-switch (activated by the cover), and to
allow the basin getting aired.
