5.4 Replacing the Lamp
After using the lamp about 2,000 hours (normal type), the lamp may be worn out and you may experience problems with the picture image. In
this case, it is highly recommended to replace the lamp with a new one. To order a replacement lamp, please consult your nearest dealer. After
replacing the lamp, please reset it by pressing the Menu button and choose Initial Setup>Lamp Timer>Reset.

Turn off the projector and wait until the cooling completes. Press the Power Switch to the “off” (O) position.

Turn off all equipment connected to the projector.
3.
Turn the projector over as illustrated below.

Loosen the screw on the lamp cover with a magnetic-head screw driver.

Remove the lamp cover.
6.
Gently pull the lamp out of the projector.
7.
Insert a new lamp. Make sure it is firmly in place.
8.
Insert the lamp cover and fix it with a screw.
9.
Turn on the projector by pressing the Power Switch to the “On” position and press the “Power” button on the control panel. When the
projector is ready to use, reset the lamp time by pressing the Menu button. Choose Initial Setup>Lamp Timer>Reset.
Warning!
*The lamp may be very hot. Allow the projector to cool for at least 30 minutes before replacing the lamp.
*The lamp contains mercury. Consult your local hazardous waste regulations to dispose of this lamp.
Warning!
*Do not place the lamp in locations where water might splash on it,
where children can reach it, near or above heat sources.
*Do not touch other components inside the projector. If you touch the
optical assembly, it could cause color unevenness or distortion of the
projected image
