3.8. DATE
The CU date and time can be set
manually via the “DATE” menu. After the modification,
exit from this menu. A dialog message appears and asks to confirm the modification.
3.9. CIMEL
Here is a list and description of the parameters in the CIMEL menu:
•
TSV: displays True Solar Time.
•
ROBOT: displays the robot azimuthal and polar mechanical switches values
•
INHEAD: When the AU is connected to an optical head, this menu acquires and
display the optical internal temperature and humidity.
•
SET ROBOT: This menu permits the robot movements through the UA.
•
[MODEM]
o
GSM TEST: Test the modem antenna reception quality.
o
FTP Test: Execute a test connection to an FTP server. A SIM card is
required and the server information must be indicated by the user. See
chapter 2.3.3.3.1 for detailed information.
o
HTTP Test: Upload a K8 file to an HTTP(s) server. A SIM card is required
and the server information must be indicated by the user. See chapter
2.3.3.4.2 for detailed information.
o
VERSION: Firmware and hardware version of the modem.
o
FOTA: enter this menu to update the modem firmware through the
AirVantage website.

update procedure.
o
Network : Last modem registration type:
▪
0: Not registered.
▪
1: Registered to the network.
▪
2: Searching for registration.
▪
3: Registration denied.
▪
4: Registration error.
▪
5: Registered to the network, roaming.
o
Level: Last modem signal strength.
▪
0: -113 dBm or less. Very bad level.
▪
1: -111 dBm
▪
2 to 30: -109 to -53 dBm.
▪
31: -51 dBm or greater. Very good level.
o
Error : Last error encountered during the last GPRS communication.
•
GPS INFO (¹): enter in this menu to enable automatic GPS acquisition. The
acquisition starts when the State information is set to “Wait GPS…” If the GPS
is active, a (G) suffix is added at the end of the time on the root menu.

[DCP]
o
DCP TEST: enter this menu to test the communication between the AU
