2.7 Electrical connections
The Aqua-TR must be utilized with the power supply module
supplied (or the optional cigarette lighter connection). Use of
any other power supply is not covered by the warranty.
The Aqua-TR is an electronic apparatus which must be connected
to an electrical network equipped with an Earth connection. Above
all verify the condition of this connection.
To connect a computer, make use of the RS 232 cable (supplied).
The power supply input plug (3) as well as the parallel (1) and
RS 232 (2) ports are located on the side of the unit.
Connecting the Aqua-TR to a computer or a printer has to be
realized prior to its power-up
.
The 120/230 V, 50/60 Hz adaptation is fully automatic (power
supply module) and does not require any manipulation.
2.8 Powering up the unit
■ Once powered, the Aqua-TR runs a selfchecking sequence,
lasting 15 sec approx., during which the keyboard is inactive.
■ During this selfchecking sequence, the screen displays:
- The apparatus name.
- The software version.
- Messages: MOTOR CONTROL,
PERIOD CONTROL,
INIT WEIGHING.
■ If an anomaly is detected during this sequence, an error message
is displayed. In this case switch Off then On; if the message is still
present, refer to chapter
"Maintenance", page 90 .
■ After this initialization sequence, the Aqua-TR is ready.
